SeeSaw Sally 2.0

See Saw Sally is a piece of art that resembles one of my dreaded childhood playground equipment...the seesaw.  My memories of being stuck at the top while someone is weighing down the other side, are actually a bit frightening. The seesaw always references the back and forth of a friendship, the give and take, and the balance required in life in general. 

This work of wearable art serves three functions. The seesaw top is removable and can be worn as a brooch. This makes wearing the ring more functional. Inside the Seesaw there are two 14 karat gold small studded earrings. This ring is a size 9. 

This piece is constructed by hand of etched silver created from a vintage, mechanical, drawing book from 1929. It is completley created by hand with a template that I made, and fabricated. It is hollow formed ring, and fragile.

this piece functions as small sculpture and jewelry and must be handled with care.
